Our Story

Yorkshire Office double their Operations

In 2011 Yorkshire Office doubled their office & warehouse capacity, moving into their modern warehouse and office unit on the Biz Space Business Park at Wakefield near junction 39 M1.

Professional Service with Personal attention.

How it all started – the ‘kwik save baby’ was born

Back in 1998 M.D. John came home from work one Monday to look after his 3 month old baby with news that his role of Northern Sales Director for a London based corporate business was no longer.

John very soon got over the initial shock and Yorkshire Office was born, with a determination to provide the very best service to all customers alike. A week later, with John initially working from home on a very tight budget (the newborn became known as the ‘Kwik Save Baby’) and John was highly motivated to make a success of the new start up business,

New customers came thick & fast, with sales doubling year on year as new clients enjoyed the professional & personal approach as a refreshing alternative to the feeling of ‘just another client ‘ of one of the ‘big corporate’ suppliers.

That professional & personal service continues today…

How it developed – garage to business park

In June 2000 John returned to his ‘home office’ (a modest 3 bedroom suburban house in the Yorkshire village of Emley) to a hand-written note from neighbours Margaret & Kevin to pop round as they had signed for a delivery.

Expecting to perhaps find a small parcel, John found new office chairs covered in polythene in their lounge, the kitchen, the garage, hallway, in fact everywhere you looked there were ….. office chairs! Margaret & Kevin were very understanding and saw the humorous side, but maybe Yorkshire Office had outgrown their current home…

Very soon after Yorkshire Office moved into a modern warehouse and office unit on the Biz Space Business Park at Wakefield near junction 39 M1 and in April 2011 moved again to larger premises on the same Business Park, doubling the warehouse capacity and expanding the offices to accommodate extra staff numbers.

“We approached Yorkshire Office Group to help us fit out our new office building. The customer service we have experienced from start to finish was brilliant, from Darren helping to design the space and providing great advice, to the friendly and professional installation team. The quality of the furniture was just what we were looking for at a good price and helped us to create a professional working environment to be proud of. We would thoroughly recommend Yorkshire Office Group as a supplier of excellent quality office furniture.”

“We are a small business of 17 staff and moved offices in February 2022. Yorkshire Office Group helped us with our office furnishing needs.  The team was incredibly useful and thorough in their process – from coming into the office and drawing the spec, offering a vast amount of office furniture, and having great communication with all the delivery and manufacturing information. I felt as though Yorkshire Office Group took the time to really understand the needs of our business both currently and in the future (they provided furniture solutions that would work currently and be able to be adapted as we grew).”

“I have been working with Yorkshire Office for a couple of years purchasing stationery but most recently I have purchased numerous furniture and seating items for our new offices. The furniture arrived on time and was installed by Yorkshire Offices very friendly, professional, and helpful team. I have always found the service from Yorkshire Office to be excellent and would not hesitate to recommend Yorkshire Office to any other business.”
